Moving Day

Thank God that is over. Moving day finally came and went. Which of course means I am exhausted today, but still plunging through the workday. Thank the Lord a 3-day weekend is on the horizon.

Everything went pretty smoothly. We had most of our stuff packed and ready for the movers, who came at 9AM Sunday morning. They had us loaded, moved and unloaded in the span of 3 hours. Let me tell you, that was worth every penny! We still have a couple of odd and ends back at the old place, and of course it still needs to be cleaned. We will finish that up this weekend, turn in the keys and be done with the entire process. Except of course un-boxing, which will probably take months.

Lovely Comcast cable was kind enough to come out to hook up our cable and Internet service. They were even nice enough to mess up the computers in the process. So I will be spending a good portion of next week tying to right the wrong committed by Comcast. We finally were able to connect through the wired LAN, but wireless is still probably days away. You would think you could just take your same equipment and plug it in at the new location and wham everything would work. Amazingly, NOT!! But if this is the biggest complaint I have about this move, then it will be a smooth move indeed.
