Trip to Eugene
Another week in Sunny Portland. On Wednesday Felicia and I decided to a road trip to Eugene Oregon. It was a minor 118 mile drive and it took about two hours and 15 minutes. Not too bad, and it was nice to get out for a bit. Besides we had ulterior motives. We were off to see Rory Stitt play at Sam Bonds Garage a local bar in the college town of Eugene.
We got there about 30 minutes before the show was scheduled to begin. So I got a Pinot that was ok, and Felicia got an apple cider which tasted like cool-aid. We ordered chips and "salsa" which was really more like a Pico, but you can't expect too much from a bunch of Northerners. In defense of Sam Bonds, it was a good Pico...err salsa. So we sat down with Rory and his manager and ate our chips, drank our drinks and had good conversation.
The sound man was running just a bit behind schedule, like 45 minutes behind schedule. So the show started a bit late. Which was no big deal for us, but I know the artists scheduled that night were a bit annoyed. So sometime after 9:15PM the show began. As always Rory gave good show. Rory sang beautifully, and did an amazing cover of Case of You, one of my favorite songs.
After the show we sat outside on the patio for a bit while we chatted and listened to the other band on the lineup. We did not stay too much longer as we still had to make the drive home to Portland.
On Thursday, I had a job interview to get ready for later that night. I think it went well, I will have to keep everyone posted.
I have new pictures up on the website from Felicia's 30th Birthday bash. I have also opened the photo archive for older photos. Check them out.
So things are still clicking along. Hopefully, I will get everything lined up soon. I will keep everyone posted.
