Karaoke and Sun
I'm such a dork. I have figured out how to update my blog from my WiFi connected PocketPC. I am writing from my PocketPC now. I must say I'm so excited about it. Kind of cool to be sitting at my dinning room table with no wires connected to the Internet, updating my blog. Things in Portland are still moving along. The job hunt still rages forward. Well, hopefully forward anyway. I am keeping the faith and still plunging ahead.
I have met more people. Felicia and I went to karaoke last Sunday and met up with my friend Rory and his friends. We had a blast. I did not have the courage to get up and sing. I should have just done it. Maybe I will rehearse something and be ready to shine next time I go. People take their karaoke seriously out here in Portland. While not everyone was good, there was a lot of good talent in the room. Some were great for karaoke, and of course Rory blew everyone away.
Coming up this week, it is Felicia's birthday. Heh, heh, now I get to turn the tables on the 30 year old ribbing. I still need to rush out and get her gift. I have some idea what to get, but I am still not sure what I will do yet. The birthday plans are not yet in place just yet, but I'm sure we will find something fun and adventurous. We were going to go snow shoeing, but we don't have the appropriate cold weather wear, so that may have to wait until a later date when we have time to build up our cold mountain weather wardrobe.
Other than that, it has been sunny and beautiful with highs near 70. I made sure to get out and soak up some sun. The flowers and trees are starting to bloom and it feels like spring is just around the corner. I love Portland in the Spring and Summer. I can't wait!
